Cardio

What is it?

These classes are a little more upbeat with pace and intensity but are modified for beginners and those with injuries. They are designed to get the heart rate up, raise your metabolism and no kidding, boost your mood. Yep, burpees can do that!

Why is it important?

Cardiovascular exercise is key in developing and maintaining good overall health.

Activity that raises the heart rate strengthens the heart and improves circulation, reducing the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke. Basically a stronger heart pumps blood more efficiently whilst enhancing lung function, oxygen delivery to the muscles and aids better aerobic capacity.

Improvising cardiovascular fitness can also help regulate blood sugar levels by increasing the muscles’ ability to use glucose, which is especially important for preventing or managing diabetes.

Incorporating cardio activity into your workout program is an effective way of managing and losing weight. It also increases metabolism, which can enhance fat loss when combined with strength training.Regular cardio improves overall stamina, making everyday activities easier and less tiring.

Box Fit

A partner based, low impact but high energy class that uses kick shields to deliver a workout using a range of punches and kicks. We combine the box fit moves with other cardio exercises and bodyweight strength moves to deliver an all body workout which will also serve a boost mood to boot.

When can I do it?

MetaPWR

This is High intensity Training at its best! A short sharp, high energy workout that gets results fast. In just 30 minutes you look forward to a fitter, stronger, healthier more invigorated you! High Intensity Interval Training has been shown in study after study that it is superior to traditional long steady state cardio sessions in terms of burning fat, an elevated calorie burn post workout and preserving muscle tissue.

When can I do it?

  • Saturday 8.45am

Fit Circuits 45

This new class integrates cardiovascular and strength training, offering both physical and mental challenges. It develops functional strength and endurance by engaging large muscle groups as well as the smaller stabilizing muscles.

The focus is on essential movement patterns such as squatting, jumping, pushing, and pulling, which not only burn calories but also lower blood pressure, enhance fat oxidation, and support muscle growth. Ultimately, this approach fosters a sense of strength and empowerment, helping you build a resilient body and mind.

When can I do it?

  • Tuesday 6.30pm

Bosus, Bungees and Bells

A combination class blending aspects of low impact cardio training, strength work and core exercises which also target the balance and posture.

When can I do it?

  • Monday 9am
