What is it?
TRX suspension training is a type of bodyweight exercise that uses straps and handles to leverage gravity, allowing you to perform various movements while suspended. By adjusting your body position, you can increase or decrease resistance, making the exercises scalable for different fitness levels.
Why should I do it?
It helps improve strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability by engaging multiple muscle groups simultaneously. The instability of the suspension system forces your muscles, especially the core, to work harder to maintain control and balance during each exercise.
It’s also a great form cross training if you undertake other sports such as tennis, golf or running as it works on balance, coordination plus rotational core movements.
What can I expect?
Each client has their own rig with the straps at mid calf. Most of the class is standing but floor work is incorporated which is generally focused on core work.
What should I wear?
Sneakers or grip socks
When can I do it?
- Tuesday 5.45pm
- Wednesday 9.45am
- Friday 9am (TRX Core)
TRX Pure
Limited to 7 people this is our classic TRX class where we just use the TRX suspension trainers.
TRX Fusion
A larger class size to accommodate this popular class! This is a circuit class where we use the TRX rigs with other equipment such as the Rip Trainer, Springboard and Bosu to produce the same training effect – strength, balance, posture and stability.
Please note that that the Core version has a lean to core and balance. In either Fusion class if there are 7 clients or below it will revert back to a Pure class.
